July 15th, 3:00 PM

The word from the hospital is that Lindsay ate ALL of her pasta that they brought her for lunch, took a one hour nap and has now done TWO laps of the 5th floor.

At this pace she will be in rehab in no time.

She credits keeping on top of her pain medications. She said something about the basal dose of Percocet and then getting a bolus dose also and yesterday she tried to go without the bolus dose and that wasn't a good idea or some such medical jargon!! :-)

Either way she seems to be feeling MUCH better and I just pray that the healing continues!!

Sisters are amazing to have and Lindsay, it sounds like you have a good one. I too have sisters I can count on when I need them and it is a great feeling. You will appreciate so much the close support of all your family. I’m sure you were a close family before your accident and this will bring you ever so closer. I continue to monitor your progress here at ATSU knowing you will be all well soon to continue being a great wife, mom, daughter, sister and doctor! You are in my thoughts and prayers!

Hi Lindsay!
I have been following your amazing progress since day 1 and can not believe how well things seem to be progressing!
I am sure there will be plenty more tough times before it gets easy again but compared to where you started, all I can say is WOW!
We are so relieved and happy to hear that you are such a fighter!
With much love,
Shawn, Heather, Lennon and Lily Brooks

I'm so excited that you got over that hump!! Can you imagine what a better doctor you will be after this experience?! You will have empathy like no one else. A friend of ours is in nursing school and she herself suffers from Crohn's Disease and is in remission with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. She knows good nurses - - and good doctors.

BTW, your sister must be awesome.

What an amazing recovery at God speed so far Lindsay. Keep it up! This is so awesome and inspiring to read at just two weeks!! I agree, it's all about keeping the meds limited to only what's necessarily. This will help you greatly in your career when dealing with others.
