All of the procedures are done for the day. They ended up removing her current JP tube and replacing/repositioning it meaning she still only has one in her stomach instead of two. They are comfortable that the repositioning has worked and that the fluid that was building up just above her JP tube will now drain out of the tube along with any pancreatic secretions.
The feeding tube is also in and they have begun feeding her a high calorie, high fiber liquid diet which should give her some of her strength back and also allow her pancreas some time to rest and heal it's self.

Hmm - so sorry to hear about this setback. How frustrated you all must feel. Keep at it - remember how far you've come in just 3 short weeks. We'll be praying for forward motion and peace of mind. I know I speak for many when I say please let us know if there's anything we can do to help/make this easier.
Bummer!! Seemed like things were going so well considering the time span. You are still in our thoughts and prayers! I know quite a few families that travel to Iowa City for tests and procedures, could send them your way for people in similar boats and great company! Lindsay I did think of 2 ideas to help get a counselor to speak to. Maybe try an EFR phone line if your work participates in that. They are supposed to be open 24-7 for help. You could also try a college counseling center of a local college or one you attended. Many people recommended I do this after my boyfriend committed suicide and they were easy to get into and didn't cost a fortune. Hopefully this helps when you are back at that point and out of the hospital. Hopefully soon.
