They have just taken Lindsay back for surgery. Her face is MUCH less swollen this morning so that is good. She had a bit of a high heart rate in the night last night so they had to bump up her sedation medication a bit although they did ask her if she was in any pain and she told them no.
This morning when I got here she opened her eyes and looked at me. They said she will still squeeze your hand on command and she has really good push/pull in her legs. One nurse did claim that they saw her move the fingers on her left hand but we will probably know more about that after surgery.
The doctor came and talked to us and told us that right now, all things considering, she is doing well. They are going to open her up this morning and flush out her wounds. They are also going to examine a section of her bowel which was bruised to make sure it is healing correctly.
They said that if it is healing correctly they may try to get her wound closed this morning. If there is any damage they may have to take out a section of it and then they will probably leave her wound open again so they can re-check it.
Assuming all goes well with that part of the surgery and she is tolerating anesthetic well they will also work on her arm this morning. They want to at least get the plates and screws in to get her arm stabilized and if there is still time they will try to fix the nerve and the tendon damage.
Again, keep the prayers coming.
