The CT Scan results are in. It appears as if the ribs on both sides are broken. There was an air pocket and some fluid in the right lung so, as a result they have now decided to place a chest tube on her right side this evening in an effort to prevent her lung from collapsing.
They also noted that in the center section of her spine there were about 10 - 12 vertebrae that had been crushed and the "fins" (I know that is not the technical term for the piece of vertebrae that sticks out but it's all I got people) had been broken off of them. There's a link here... they are the Transverse Processes. They said there is nothing they can do to fix this. Right now they are held in place by the muscles and they should fuse back together in time. They are going to have a neurosurgeon look at her but she has good movement in both of her feet so they are not worried about spinal cord injury.
Her pelvis looked good and they did not note any other new injuries. Surgery is scheduled for 8:00 tomorrow morning. Keep all of your prayers coming.
